ZTE Nubia sub-brand Red Magic launched a new smartphone globally. Nubia Red Magic series added a new gaming phone to their lineup today. Nubia Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro were launched in China back on March 5,2021. They were also launched in Europe and North America but the launch date is unknown. Now, Red Magic 6R launched globally and joined the Red Magic 6, series family.

ZTE Nubia Red Magic 6R is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC chipset, the same as Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro. It has a 6.67-inches Full-HD+ OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate and built-in 400Hz shoulder triggers for gaming experience and is also easily customizable. It also provides 770 nits brightness and up to 1Billion colors and 1080×2400px resolution. Now comes to cameras, it has a quad rear camera setup consisting of a Sony 64-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel Ultra-wide angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera has grown from 8-megapixel to 16-megapixel which has an f/1.8 aperture. The rear camera added a 5MP macro sensor which was missing in Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro. It is backed up by a 4,500mAh battery, which has reduced as compared to its family. To charge its battery quickly, it supports 30W fast charging. It runs Red Magic OS 4.0 and is based on Android 11. Red Magic 6R measures 163.06 x 75.34 x 7.80mm and weighs 186 grams which according to the company is lighter than a gulp of water and a cup of sugar. It is a dual Nano-SIM slot smartphone. It has Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Our favorite 3.5mm headphone jack is missing. The gaming phone is kept cool with the latest vapor chamber liquid-cooling tech and multi-level cooling system to keep the phone temperature in check. It is protected by corning Gorilla Glass 3. Moreover, it is not water-resistant and does not offer a microSD card slot.
Nubia Red Magic 6R is priced at $499 (approx. Rs.37,004). It is available in two colors Phantom Black and Steamer Silver. Red Magic 6R is expected to launch in India in July 2021. Now lastly, the configurations of Red Magic 6R are 6GB + 128 GB, 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB. It includes LPDDR(Low-Power Double Data Rate) RAM.
