Oneplus ex Co-founder Carl Pei's new venture Nothing will launch its first product on 27 July, a true wireless earbud.
It's only a week left before the launch of Nothing Ear 1 TWS (Truly Wireless Stereo) . The earbuds will offer a unique transparent design, that's never done before. Nothing is building hype for the launch of its first product. Now, they revealed that Nothing Ear 1 will ship with a transparent case.
The buds will have a in-ear design. The transparent charging case will offer 24 hours of battery with active noise cancellation turned on. The design of the earbuds is still under the wraps.
CNET revealed details about the Nothing Ear 1 in an interview with Carl Pei.
The earbuds will offer 36 hours of music playback with active noise cancellation turned off. The case will offer a battery backup of 570mAh that will support wireless and fast charging. With 10 minutes of charge, the earbuds will offer 6 hours of battery with ANC on and 8 hours of battery with ANC off.
Nothing Owner Carl Pei chose transparent earbuds as its first product and added it's a "growth category" that expects to see 310 million units of Nothing Ear 1 shipped this year, according to Counterpoint Research data.
By the look of case, it houses two earbuds which are yet to be revealed. The charging wire appears to be in the middle of earbuds. Users will be able to see whether the buds are charging or not in the case considering a transparent design. Nothing Ear (1) customer would be able to charge the buds in two ways- wirelessly or wired via USB Type-C.
Putting all the wireless charging tech into this transparent shell, is the reason why its a unique invention. The transparent design of Nothing Ear 1 was much harder achieving, that why no other manufacturer has tried to make transparent design. Nothing was fired by two magnets factories because the process to polish the magnets required much hardwork, Pei said.

Nothing TWS Ear 1 will launch on 27 July.
In India, Nothign Ear 1 will cost Rs.5,999, which is less than UK and US.
In US, Nothing Ear 1 will cost $99 while in UK it will be priced at GBP 99.
